I accidentally posted a document with personal information and I can’t delete it because I was in guest mode, please help me!!! I don’t want my information to be visible to other people.

First of all: Don’t panic. If you didn’t share the URL to your note, it is not very probable that it will be found, because the URLs are long and random.

For getting the note deleted, it depends on which instance you created the note.

  • If you created it on the official demo instance (https://demo.hedgedoc.org) - don’t worry as that instance will be reset every 24 hours.
  • If you created it on another instance, you might want to ask the administrator of that instance to delete the note in the database. For this you need the give them the URL to your note. They might want to use the URL-to-database-id converter tool to find the right database entry.
